This painting was done in the life-room at John Moore's university when doing my fine art degree. I would spend days working directly from the nude, both male and female. It's the best way to learn how to draw and paint. Forcing the artist to observe with high concentration in order to achieve accuracy.

How to order
Though images of the nude and nudity have proliferated over the last 100 years, there is a distinction between the female and male nude. Women are usually depicted as sexual objects where the male nude is seen as either hunter or as human athletic. This dates back as far as prehistoric art, seen in cave paintings. The Greek goddess Aphrodite is a good example as she was imagined as life-giving, proud, and seductive.
